Black Eagle

The Black Eagle is spread in Europe where it has a highly fragmented area (Spain, Bulgaria, Greece, Crimea, Caucasus) and in Asia from Turkey to China and Mongolia. The Black Eagle has an unfavorable conservation status - in Europe it is considered vulnerable. In the past centuries the black eagle was a common presence on Romanian territory, in the places in Dobrogea and in the Carpathians. Over time, their numbers decreased greatly until extinction. Today it can be seen in Romania only in museums. She was a sedentary bird and did not leave the territory of our country in winter. The preparation is naturalized with open wings to highlight the wingspan that exceeds one meter. The song is part of the collection founded by the ornithologist Robert Ritter von Dombrowski, who worked at the museum from 1895-1916.
