A cast copper-alloy cup weight, probably from a set of nesting weights. It is likely to be late medieval to post-medieval in date. The weight measures 11.47 mm high and tapers in diameter from 30.95 mm at the rim to 25.23 mm at the base. It weighs 22.2 grams, the equivalent of 0.783 troy ounces - it probably originally weighed one ounce. There is deep filing on the base. Where the original surface of the rim survives two decorative ring and dots can be discerned. The interior of the base of the weight has a circular depression in the centre and a stamped circular makers mark which contains an animal, perhaps a dog or a stag.
